Hey you wagon people, I need help. I have a 57, 150 Handyman wagon. On the upper tailgate, inside bottom edge, there are 3 hole in the center of the gate, just under bottom of glass trim, just above the latch. Does anyone know what goes in these 3 holes. I have had this wagon torn apart for 20+ years and finally getting it back together but can't remember what the holes are for. Thanks everyone

I just figured that out on my wagon the other day.

It's a rubber bumper to protect the tailgate if you put it up first. The liftgate then sits on the rubber bumper, protecting your paint!:bowtieb:

Hi, I installed my rubber protector on the upper gate. Make sure the holes do not have paint in them to keep the three plugs from seating. I ended up gluing them in as they would not stay put. The reason they have them if you close the gate first, then the lift it is a (ouch) problem. Regards, Steve
