Hey guys,

I would like a header recomendation for my '56. Set-up is:

Small block
Stock front mounts and stock bellhousing mounts
Manual Z-bar
Stock manual steering box

I am looking for 1 3/4" full length, quality header. I have full lenghts on the car now, but the steering linkage hits the header tubes in both directions, and I am not getting full steering. I tried dimpling the header, but it is not enough.

Any advice is appreciated.

They are fine if you don't have a lowered car and need ground clearance.

Actually they are somewhat at risk at stock height. Depends on the driveways and speed bumps you encounter.

Thanks Rick,

I do have full lenghts on the car now that hang down under the frame horns, never had an issue. The car is stock height though, I imagine if it was lowered it would be a huge problem!
