I recently went to 2'' dropped spindals on my 55. I knew I would need to upgrade to a header that did not hang as low as my present ones that I have been running with the car in the stock position. My question is what headers should I be looking at to avoid or minimize the dragging problem. The hookers I am running now are fine except when I hit a sudden dip in the road.

Mike are those full length headers? If so maybe a 3/4 length header would take care of the draggung. I am running the Patriot 3/4 lengths on mine and am happy with them so far.

Terry, mine are full length. Do you know if the Patriot headers will work with a 605 steering box? Any ideas where to look for them? Parts stores or on line?

I went with the William's Classic Chassis full-length headers. They do not hang below the frame. They do require the bell motor mount horns to be removed.
