Headliners run about $140.00 on average. Depending on your model; consider the fact you may need to replace the tacking strips ($50.00) , windlace ($75.00-$150.00) sailboards and post filler boards($50.00).

Headliners run about $140.00 on average. Based on your model ( 2 door hardtop)and the current condition of the roof area (rusty bows) you may need to replace the tacking strips , windlace, windlace retainers (top of quarter at door opening), and package tray. Add another $200.00 for parts. If this is your first headliner installation it's a good idea to make notes and/or take pictures during the disassembly. Number the bows (1,2,3 etc. front to back) and mark the retaining holes for proper reassembly. Besides your basic tools you will need a pair of scissors, razor blades, contact cement or spray adhesive, heat gun (a hair dryer will also work), staplegun, short (1/4") staples. Some headliners "fall right in" but most times you have to work the wrinkles out with the heat gun. Be careful not to get too close or stay in one area too long as you can melt the headliner. Good luck!
