Here is mine new Danchuk heater controller. It works nicely.
Can't say if it was passed by inspector #2.
The second photo is the original for my 55.

Oh as a heads-up, the spring clamps leaked when I put it together, so to keep the cooling fluid from messing up my interior, I ended up using "standard" radiator clamps.

If you install a new heater control valve, remove the new spring and use your original instead. The repro springs are too stiff, and the heater control lever in your car will not stay down (fully open valve).
