Hello all. Been lurking for a bit trying to read up on the do's/don'ts of these cars and finally found something that I liked in the condition I needed. Thank you all for your great forum. The hardest part was the 2dr vs 4dr wagon decision but with 3 boys under 4yrs old I went with a 57 210 4dr 6pass wagon.
I've looked for months, as I was bit last year at the west coast nationals, for a nice wagon. I think I found a great start. It is almost completely original minus the paint job 6yrs ago and the new bumpers. It has a 283 power pack with the original generator, radiator, radio, interior, and has tinted glass. The chrome is in great shape. It does have some rust in the outer floor braces but nothing in the floors, frame, or frame mounts. The biggest question I have now is how hard are these floor braces to replace? :confused0006:
I'm gonna start a "my 57 210 wagon" thread to keep track of the progress but here is a pic right after I pulled it off the transports truck from Iowa. More pics after I wash the dirty beast and I have some day light.
I know the boys will be proud to be seen riding in your new baby. Looks great, clean her up and show her off. My grandkids love riding in my '55, the look around to see who is seeing them. lol Charles :wavey:
