In the midst of rewiring my 57 stock starter with a trunk mounted battery and solenoid setup. I need to connect buss bar between S terminal on solenoid and the positive lug. My references state that the R terminal is next to engine block. When I look at my starter I swear I can see an indented S inside a circle next to the outer small stud.
But when I look at the assembly manual, the starter wiring shows the S being next to motor and R on outside.
Which is correct? I have removed the purple solenoid wire and don't recall how the original wiring was connected...
HELP please!!
