Exterior from a distance a 50,000 Car.

Interior and engine compartment = a 20,000 car.

So my estimate without looking under and closer is 35,000

What lowered the price is the floor shift, brake booter etc, all low quality for a convertible.

55 convertible

It looks like a fresh paint, but by judging how the interior looks, there probably wasn't alot of work put into the body. But it is a convertible, and that drives the price up about $10 - $15k. It has potential to be a high dollar car. If you like a convertible, I'm guessing it is in the $25 - $30K. I prefer a hardtop or sedan over a convertible. The NADA puts it in the $25 - 85K...average to show quality.
It would require a close inspection.

The guy told me it was for a lady that lost her husband and the car was for him. I dont know if he was on these forums. I was planing on getting it to dive my kids around for a few years and same more money to restore it.

you should pass on this car

I have been involved with cars a long time and I must tell you this car is going to cost a lot of money in a few years to keep up.The paint job looks like car lot special -good from 100 feet and then you walk up and look at it AND WOW. The rubber hood bumbers are all painted on both sides of the hood - not a good paint job when you see this ( cheap ).The firewall looks like it was painted with spray can black. This car has been sitting for some time the upper cooling hose was replaced not the bottom. The battery cables are a mess -one is put on upside down.Alot of the area under the hood is rusted from sitting and not being driven. If you are willing to buy the car as it sits and enjoy it - do it with the thought I am going to rebuild it in a couple years.Do think about what you are willing to pay for this car and then how much it going to cost to rebuild later. Most of the time you maybe better off looking at more cars.I would not pay more then $18,000.00 for the car.BUT FIRST HAVE SOMEONE PUT IT ON THE RACK AND LOOK UNDER THE CAR AND CHECK IT OUT.This car is below average quality.

Boogie, for the right price this could be a great car.... I for one can't afford a pristine convertible, I'd love to find one that needed some work, good looking but not perfect.... those are the ones I'd personally be looking for. At the right price, this could be a great find....

Good luck
