Hello guy's, I can't understand why my 56 business coupe sits so high. At the rockers in front of the rear wheel opening it 12" and 10-1/2" in front. At the cross member it's 8" and I have 2" drop spindles. Did the business coupe have a heavy rear spring set up. It was a 6 cyl. car with a power glide. I've herd the front springs in those were stiffer, is this true? It's a small block/turbo 350 now. I'll take any help you can offer. Thanks T

The stock crossmember height is 8.1" so your dropped spindles really did nothing. Are you sure it has dropped spindles? In the rear the stock height from the top of the axle tube to the frame should be 5.725". If it's higher than that, your springs are probably not stock or you have something else going on. But it sounds like the rear may be at stock height, as well as the front.
