I've installed a chrome Holley fuel pump and connecting both the inlet and outlet with AN fittings. The problem I'm having is it is leaking from the fittings...?? I re-tightened the fittings and still leaks. I thought I had the wrong fittings but the guy at the autoparts store where I bought it said the fittings are correct. 1/4"p pipe to 6AN. He also said that the chrome on the fuel pump on the inside of the threads could be keeping it from sealing up. Has anybody had this problem with chrome fuel pumps? I'm not sure if I do have the correct fitting? If I do do I need to get the chrome off of the threads and/or use some type of pipe sealant to seal up the threads. Or is there some type of special fitting I should be using? I'm sorry I don't have any pic's.

You should use teflon tape or loctite thread sealant . only tighten the a little above snug . you can crack the housing if you over tighten then you will never stop the leak!
