Guess what, no question, just a thanks for the information I received in the past and filed away regarding the removal and installation of new hood springs. Although I was under the impression that a couple of washers would do it, I found out that I needed several, say 6 to 8 (yes, I know, depends on the washer thickness, but thick washers are really hard to insert, so used the thinner ones), so now the hood really goes up and the corners "lock-down" when I shut it. I can now get rid of the MK 1 Mod 1 broom handle !!!!!! Thanks again, guys.

Next time instead of washers, try a few pennies; it's about the only use they have any more!!
