We left Reno this morning to head home from another year of Hot August Nights (HAN). The event seemed less than the past years no raffle and a pretty empty goodie bag. Sure is a lot of politics surrounding the event as to where it is going in the future. Sure hope they get it squared up soon:confused0006:

Anyway here is a link to some photos of the week:)

Home? I wish! We stopped in Truckee for a few days. That was a mistake, thunder storms here complete with heavy rain and hail! Sure glad I didn't pop for that professional detail by Adams. Oh well the light show is cool and the car will clean. :sign0020:

Glad your having fun Seth, Montrey will be great, too bad I'm not home I could meet up with you there too.

Lots of nice looking rides there Randy. Politics involved in something with more than 2 guys running it? Nah i can`t believe that. ;)
Terry
No kidding Terry. We heard the CEO of this event earns over 240K to put on the event. He then has the nerve to complain the event doesn't raise enough money!

Seth,
As Randy stated, Hot August Night's is over for 2010. We did make it home safely. What a week!

It was such a pleasure to meet another TriFive Chevy fan! I'm sure glad that your stops in the U.S. have been gratifying and that some of us could accomodate you to make your memories even more special. Also, glad that you were able to pickup some parts for your 56 in Long Beach. Were you able to find the shirt vendor? How many have you purchased?

We hope to see you again real soon. Take care, Seth!

Hot August Nights

I saw a detailed article about the event already has a contract to be in Long Beach 2011 and the casinos might do something in Reno. One of the large companies I do business with is already preparing for Long Beach. I also think David with Dallas Area Classic Chevy. has something about the Long Beach event for 2011.

Yeah Larry its going to be held in Long Beach in 2011 and then for 5 more years per a contract they have made. Supposedly it will be held in both locations, time will tell.

Randy,

Great job with the photos. I was surprised to see that we both saw many of the same great cars. Thanks for taking the time to share your pictures.

Sorry Dick we don't stay with the cars at these shows, too many other things to do or see.

LOL, I think Glen was the only one with open windows that day, the storms had us concerned a little. He was hurrying to get back and close them when the rain was on the hills:sign0020:

WOW Randy... I seen the news and was wondering if you guys got caught in the storm. Kinda makes me glad I didn't make the trip. Looks like you had a good time besides the storm though. It bites that they are talking about moving it down south though.
