The footage is not the best quality, but it is very interesting. The video also shows a few minutes of drag racing and at the end.

I can remember custom cars like that from visiting the autorama with my dad as a little kid. I never did care for those bubble top way out customized things, a lot of my friends built models of them but I just wasn't into it. Thanks for posting the video, it brought back a lot of memories.

Ah, those were the days when displaying a car meant you had to put some time into it. It seems as if exhibitor's today want to rush in and rush out without much in the way of detailing or display effects. Very little in the way of lighting or ground cover (carpet is virtually unheard of). And some won't even put a crowd barrier around their vehicle. We use to have at least 8 lights with a control panel for setting the intensity to provide the right effect. Oh well. Maybe this will stimulate some ideas for future shows.
