It don't look like anybody is biting on this one since it has no bids and a little over two hours before it closes.

I'd hope so but I do see sellers from time to time with super high prices on stuff like this.

There is even one enterprising a-hole that sells Franklin Mint, Danbury Mint, and Acme models marked up like 300% and he just calls them "carousel" models and of course interspersed are pictures of a real car!!! What a scammer, makes me so mad he actually tricks people into buying from him!!

Sorry about the rant, and I know people don't have to buy from him. I'm just saying he takes advantage of an uninformed consumer.

In the mid 90’s I sold some of my Hot Wheels Red Lines to do a restoration on my then ‘57 150. The highest price I got for one was 2,450. :flag6:

I sold a magenta VW Bus with surfboards for over $600 on eBay years ago. I know most of those back in the late '60's I paid less than a buck for each of them...

The red one or the black one? Yeah those are on the rarer side of life

Bruce, Ya Nope. the last one said the proceeds went to a charity, that's great and all people helping people. But really with as many scammers that are out there today. I'm leery of some of those. People can do what they want with their money. Targets sells them for around a $1.00 if you're fortunate enough to get there early enough. The most I'd pay for one is $5.00 and would have to really mean something to me.

Bruce , I have been watching the Candy Striper car as it goes crazy in price. I thought they were outrageous when they were going for $500 months ago. . I think these guys buy up as many as possible in early production and then drive their own market . They really do not even come close to being a nice replica.

And finally one that has some INSANE bidders....
