I bought a new wiring harness for the 57. The 5.3 I bought the wiring harness has been converted to standalone. Question how do I marry the two together.

I powered the "standalone" fuse block directly from the battery. It is not tied into the old harness at all. I installed a junction block on the drivers side inner radiator and ran all the positive connections from there.

Similar to this, Junction block

Correction, I tied nothing into the old harness except the "power on key" connection and that was directly to the key switch.

I did the same as Keeper, kept the original car wiring and the new engine wiring separate. That makes any trouble shooting much simpler.

I also use junction boxes one or more for B+ one or more for key on power then run all the feeds from pcm & other add ONs like AC to the respective junction boxes.
