Got the clutch m/c mounted. Running a Tremec TKO 600. Keisler has this firewall adaptor for the '55 and '56, but '57 has a little different pedal/firewall arrangement. The aluminum tube needs to be longer, will have the local machine shop make me one 5/8ths inch longer, but I think we're in the ball park. Wilwood states the m/c desired travel is 1.4 inches, and I'm at 1.375" travel. I think I can shave a little rubber off of the pedal stop for that additional .025".
Now I can finish plumbing the brake lines, mount & plumb the roll stop and prop valve.

Here it is with the correct length aluminum spacer installed. For you guys that choose to use the tremec trans in a '57, the tremec kit for the '55-'56(mounting the clutch m/c on the firewall), will work if you change from the supplied 1.5 inch aluminum tubing to one that is 2 1/8th inches long, it looks like it should work.
I hope I got the geometry right, what do ya think? Looks straight to my eyes anyway....

Just thought I'd say thanks for posting the pictures! I'm trying to talk myself into getting the Keisler set up for my car. There's a couple of races coming up in November that I'd like to do with my car and I need to get my clutch ironed out. I've already got my prop valve and line lock installed... I'm worried that's going to ruin my plans with the hydraulic clutch.

Did you go with a slave unit or a whole hydraulic throw out bearing? I'm really worried about the set up with a hydraulic throw out bearing and my McLeod scattershield.

Boy, I sure don't like the looks of that long spacer. It seems like it could bend or break the bolt with the clutch pressure. I don't rememmber how much force is on that pushrod, but I think it's fairly significant. My gut tells me you're going to have problems with that, but I'm not positive. ;)

Does the bolt go all the way through to the pedal lever? What size bolt?

I would have the same concerns as Cheynut . I think I would make the spacer out of steel tap one end for the hime and weld the other to the petal. I under stand the clutch-master they are using in these kits is from a chevy suburban diesel stick shift . Any body know for shore ? Don
