There's an edelbrock sticker on it but it has weber cast in the side. So should I tear off that sticker or is the edelbrock based on a weber design?

I meant if someone just put an edelbrock sticker on the weber carb, so it could be an edelbrock carb despite the casting?

Its a Weber based casting, all the Edelbrocks I've used have had the Weber casting logo.
I'd be willing to bet that you have an Edelebrock carb not having seen the carb say a 1406...post a picture:pics-1:

ALL Edelbrock carbs are made by Weber.

Not having that logo would be cause for concern.

I'm pretty sure that Edelbrock says this clearly in their instruction sheets and perhaps even their catalog.
