Sounds like a new product. A little welding, seam filling, rechroming and wah-lah (or something like that) a smoothie...Why can't they make a '56 smoothie? Seems like more of a market for a smoothie bumper than even a 1-piece repop.

I thought about doing that, but I would have to modify the splash pan. I've changed enough on this car and need to get it on the road. Maybe I should just put the guards on it and call it good. LOL!They will have it. Who knows when? It took a long time to get the 55 smoothie.
Of course a guy like you should want to narrow the bumper a bit, maybe make some other mods, you may as well start now.
