How the heck do I remove it? I see two small holes that a strightened paper clip can go in and I can feel a spring loaded pin, but for the life of me I can not get it to come out. What's the trick? I should mention it's on a 55

You have to have the key in the locked position. Push the springy pin in and turn the key a tiny bit counterclockwise and pull out the tumbler. Without a key, call a locksmith.

Put the key in the lock at the lock position....Put wire through the hole an push plunger in, while turning key CCW.....The lock cylinder should come out.

After all the years of use,, apparently that mechanisim can get gummed up or worn just from vibration:rolleyes:. It might take a few attempts using the above tips at getting it out. It took awhile for mine.
