Sorry Im new to the site I probably posted in the wrong spot. I am installing the inner fenders and cant seem to figure out where the slot on the bottom rear(Sect 11 Sheet 3 View B) is supposed to mount. I looked at a 4 door and that didnt get me anywhere someone must have had the fender off at some point in time. The Assembly manual shows minor detail of what you are supposed to do. The two pages that were showing anything were sect. 11 Sheet 3 and Sect 11 Sheet 7. Is there something that acts as a shim and would be placed on the outside of the body side rail that extends out further that would go through the slot on the inner fender? I know this seems a little to anal but its a customer car and he wants it done right and so do I, its just a little confusing how to put the car back together right if the parts were not there to begin with.

What year model are you working on? Sounds like a 57. The inner fender (skirt) fastens to the front of the bottom of the outer fender brace. You can see the hole in the brace in this drawing......http://www.trifive.com/garage/57%20Chevy%20Assembly%20Manual/11-1.gif
