I ran into a couple of old pics of a place I visited back in the early 70's. It was a hotrodders paradise. It pretty much only dealt with hotrods/musclecars. Was located in San Leandro, California. Man, them were THE days.

Anybody else have any pics of this place, or another one like it across the country?

What do the small plaques with times mean on the "Welcome to San Leandro" mean?

that is so cool, I really enjoy driving down the PCH from Venice to Laguna. There are the modern version of this place and some nice old car/ hotrod dealers along that hwy. There is one guy in Venice that always has a good collection of old stuff. He is across the street from the Harley Dealership in Venice Beach

When my mind catches up with my body I'll be there. Well, I guess that'll never happen. LOL!
Dan,
That would be, Bill Parker's 4 Speeds! Visited the lot a few times to check out some cars. Used to always check out their advertisements. Was told it was a dumping ground for hard run cars. I knew my friends would say if they couldn't sell their car, they would take it to Bill Parker.
This doesn't have much to do with the subject of this thread, but check out this vid. Take note of the 57 2dr post. My god, what an awful color! https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=127&v=LUtSexdLDw0

I remember hearing that also Mel. Didn't matter to me though cuz every car I ever had was hard run, and if it wasn't when I first got it, it sure was by the time I sold it! lol

My favorite is that 68 Chevelle peeking out on the front row of pic #1. I still like them even now. Beautiful lines on them, and aggressive looking also.

This is a VERY old thread of mine. For some reason the pictures I had included were eliminated (??). Not really trying to revive this old thing, but I re-found some of the pics from 1969 (after a long and frustrating search), and am injecting them back in here. Hope they stay this time. This place was a bastion of used hotrods, and meant something to guys from this area.

Here's an old and pretty rare license plate frame I have from that establishment and want to get restored. Doubt I'll ever see another one. Some guys from around here will recognize it.

Who says I ever grew up!!! I still think, act, and dress young, but it freaks me out when I see that old man looking back at me in the mirror (It must be broken???)
What is that split window vette worth today? Oh what a trip back in time......way before my time and growing up in South Dakota we had very few hot (cars) rods like those.....mostly 4 drs drivers........hand me down mom and pop cars.
