For those of you following along you will remember that I have been spending this summer putting in the 07 Monte Carlo Seats and redoing the interior, including a new console. Well I just picked the car up from the interior guy today and its basically done ........ for now. I do have new billet handles to install, but figured I would get the photos up now for you to check out.

While the seats are still in stock skins the door panels and quarters are new including the custom built fillers for armrests in the back. (the rear monte seats were about 6 inches narrower) They also wrap into the seat backs to make it look like the seats came in there.

Here is the build of the armrest fillers:

and finished:

The package tray build, the new tray had to arc around the Monte Seats as they curved at the edges:

Package tray finished:

Door & Quarter Panels:

The cars is nice and quiet with all the sound deadener, carpet and new panels! Time to hit the road while the summer is still here:D

Well I'll admit when I heard 07 MC, I didn't think I would like it but man that looks classy, and the console with the horseshoe shifter looks great. Good Job! :tu

Randy the Monte seats look very nice in the tri fives and we all see why. Looks like you are ready for some fun riding now. And yes, that shifter looks sweet in there.

Hi Randy,
Looks very nice. By the way I know the car as you were kind enough to give me a ride during Hot August Nights...Reno. I cant stop telling South Africans how I enjoyed myself and especially the warm welcome I received from Trifivers like you.
All the best

Don they are made of wood, I didn't make them, I know my limitations:rolleyes: I took it to a stereo guy that usually makes custom speaker enclosures, he knew just what to do. He makes them with wood and then uses bondo to smooth the curves better. We talked about putting some 8" woofers in each panel, but decided a single 12" in the trunk was more effective. he was right it sounds great now too:D

Rudy you probably could make a nice console out of plywood following this basic shape. I would make it about 8" longer than mine.
