Here is the question:
What determines the value of a ‘57 (or ‘55 and ‘56)? I know, there are models that are more valuable like the nomads. I am sure the condition makes a difference too.
My husband bought a ‘57 Sedan, 150 four door in 1987 while in high school. We still have the car. The car has been in Colorado over 18 of the last 23 years. Betsey (yes, he named his baby before I met him) has the original engine and transmission (vin-number matches). I am not 100% sure of the mileage, but I know it is in the 80's. We just got back from a 3 year tour in Japan and the car is still in storage in Colorado. My brother-in-law says the car started right up after sitting for over a year. No rust, but she does probably need some rubber parts incl. the tires replaced.... She has been repainted in 1994 in the original colors: sea foam and India ivory. The only modifications are a lap belt in middle of the back seat (my fault: I was not going to let my baby ride in a car without seat belt), an aftermarket radio in the glove box and speakers under the "back dash" (no boom anything, but his fault).
We have no intentions of selling the car. My baby, now almost 18 and 6’5”, is counting on inheriting the car... But I was wondering, if she is worth more than $ 2250? I hope, so because the storage fees for 3 years are almost 5K (the Army is paying for it)

Thank you for reading and have a great Wednesday :duck:
