I just got a new set of Posie's springs and I want to paint them to protect them and will last.

What have you used?

por15, chassis black, rustoleum brush-on, etc?

I tend to paint things like that with the same materials that I use on the frame and other suspension parts. Epoxy primer and automotive single stage paint.

SPI black epoxy primer. It's a nice semi-gloss.
It's what I'm going to do on my pickup project.

Being a cheapa$$, I used Rustoleum primer and semi-gloss black. The springs still look good after 3-4 years of driving on the SoCal beaches. OK, just driving around town in Plano, TX:D

Did the same on my 1969 pickup's trailing arms back in 2001, and they still looked great when I gave the truck to my son earlier this year. And they were rusty to begin with.

I have an old Binks model 7 clone spray gun and a moisture filter if you want to borrow them. It's great for chassis painting.
