I've seen various posts where people had problems with LED tail lights and had switched back to bulbs. Has anyone tried the LEDs from Danchuk that I listed below? And if any of you have gotten these, did you get the red tail lights, or just clear? I just want my car to be as visible as possible, especially when braking.

It's a shame people are still trying to charge so much for LED tech. LEDs themselves are cheap as dirt, but they're trying to get $90 for the #12295 unit at Danchuk. Looks like just some LEDs and resistors. Should be $10 including profit, or maybe $20 since they may not sell many. I'm willing to try the above since they are more reasonable and look cleaner to boot.

Thanks, Ian

Same set up in my 57, never had a problem with them and they have been in there 3 years now. I did not need a new flasher since I only did brake lights, if I add the front parking lights then I will need the flasher.

I've had mine in for 3 years now. No problems so far. Bought them through a catalog I was looking at, but don't remember where It was from. Love the brightness they emit. The ones I have look like the ones sold on Ebay.

Also running an LED third brake light from a 91 S-10 Blazer. Ran the power wire from the light to the brake switch. I couldn't get it to work by splicing it into the brake light wires, it would flash with the turn signals. Been working great for a year now.

Technostalgia LEDs all the way around, here. They use automotive, square LEDS, not the radio Shack stuff. A bit more $$, but really nice stuff. The guys are great to deal w/ too.
