I have a 350 with a casting Hecho En Mexico with a 91 block. It has Comp Cams 1.52 roller rocker arms installed. Is this common practice for a Crate Motor Hecho En Mexico? Also, how can I tell if I have Solid Lifters or Hydraulics without pulling the manifold and rocker arms? I have set them like Hydraulics and fired the engine today. It ran good and no noise but still wondering about the adjustments for solids versus hydraulics. What kind of problems, if any, if I run it with hydraulic settings and may have solids?
Thanks.

If the lifters were solids, and you set them at a hyd lifter preload, you'd have an engine w/ no compression. All the valves would be held off the seats = no start.
