Anyone own one, or know anything about them ? Were on the prowl for a good used car, to replace our main transportation. We like the numbers on them, but don't know how good of car they are. My choice is a Chrysler 300, but slightly lower mpg.

Thanks

I just turned in a 07 Impala at 86,000 miles. Never had a minutes trouble. I miss that car :sad0049:. My current car is a 2010 Fusion and I am not impressed. It's a 4 banger and the slightest puff of wind and you have to steer back to center of the lane.

I don`t know about the Impalas but we have a 2008 Pontiac G6 and it has been a good one so far. On one highway trip we went on it averaged 31mpg. The wife is happy with it and that is what counts. I figure it is comparable to the Impala.

I have a 2004 Impala (earlier different body style) and I love it. I have gotten 37 MPG on a long trip. It has 63K miles and not one bit of trouble. The 3.8 motor is the best for power and MPG. Dave

Thanks guys, I feel better now about looking at them, and Terry I was wondering what Pontiac had to offer in that size. Now, how do I convince the wife we really want a Chrysler ? She's looking at mpg. :confused0006:

Thanks

Pontiac really doesn't have anything in that bracket now, used to be the Grand Prix, but that was dropped a few years back for the G8. I myself have a 2003 Impala, basically the same except for the newer sheet metal starting with the '06 model. I have almost 100000 miles(155000 KM) on it now and it runs great. I now use it to commute and it's great on gas. In fact, I was thinking of getting a newer model, except that this one still seems to have nothing wrong with it yet, nothing major, I just replaced the blower resistor as the first & second speed was gone. Oil changed every 5000 KM.

PS - I'm also a little biased as I work at the plant that makes them!

I have owned an 07 since it was new. Outside of the tire monitoring system, and the rear tire alignment issue, no problem. The work around the TPM system is don't try to reset it when you rotate the tires.

We found an 09' at a local dealer today, and it now resides in her garage. I got a big smack in the kisser from the wife, for getting her the car. :knuddel:
And Jimbo, there was a 300 on the lot, but I didn't look at it because this was her idea of buying the Chevy. We drove Olds and Mopars for the last forty years, except for the 64' Impala we owned in 70'. It was a red dour door, like the 09' we picked up today.

Thanks Again All

My wife drives a 07 Impala LTZ. The only trouble we have had is the front rotors have been replaced and resurfaced 4 times since 07 with only 59k miles on it. China junk rotors or something, not her driving. I forgot the intermediate steering shaft has been replaced 2 and the rack and pinion has been rebuilt once

This 09' has eighteen months left on the bumper to bumper warranty, and three and a half on the drive train. For fourteen hundred, you can buy another three years.
