Hey gang;
I have been looking for a 6.2 LS for quite some time now. Have my name with a few yards in Minnesota with no avail yet. Found a few using on-line search sites but Scammers keep coming up. Anyone have a good idea or good luck locating LS motors? I need one for an upcoming project and I am not having luck at all. Plenty of 5.3's around but finding out 6.2's are like hens teeth. Figured I would run across a decent wrecked Camaro I could buy complete, take off what I need and sell the rest but ???? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Rob

Maybe look for one out a wrecked SUV, like 2006-2014 Cadillac Escalade/Escalade ESV and GMC Yukon Denali/Yukon XL Denali. You'll have to deal with the VVT delete but there are kits for that. The problem with wrecked Camaros is that the wreckers have waiting lists a mile long for them so unless you have an "in" somewhere, they re hard to come by and expensive.

I bought one from a yard out of a low mileage wrecked 08 Denali. They shipped via Fastenal. It was probably only $300 for shipping.

I got mine out of a 08 escalade. I paid $3k for it. Had 128k miles and runs great. I put it in my nova with a T56 behind it.
