Any tips on securing the dip stick tube so it won't pull out with the stick.
Just cannot keep it in there on my 283

I've used JB Weld epoxy, just a little bead around the tube about 1/4" from the lip that seats on the block and then push it in and let it cure.

No O ring Zoomer.....You might also try opening up the tube slightly with a drift punch or something simular....So, it fits tighter in the block.

I would go up under the bulge a little ways and squeeze it some to give it some egg shape with plyers or something then coat it lightly with silicone and drive it in.

Squeeze it slightly to a oval, then bevel the end so it will feed into the block.

OK I egged shaped it and put a thin film of JB on it and got it to seat all the way down to the bulge. Will see tomorow if it really stuck this time

Thanks ALL
