Lost All Keys...

1140 Views 6 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  Pops @ Tri-5.com
I hate to admit it, but my dad has misplaced the keys for our 57'...

There is a possibility that they are locked in the trunk, but I personally doubt it.

What's the easiest ways to have new keys made? I understand the ignition lock cylinder is really hard to remove without the key...

Does the lock on the glove box match the other keys? If so, that will be super easy to remove.. If not, what's my next best bet?

Thanks a million in advance

You're in luck. If you have the original setup, all locks on your '57 use the same key.
Why limit yourself to one set of keys... Cheaper to have extra keys than to involve a locksmith:confused0006: :anim_25:Later, Dave
when you get the key done make some copies and keep it in a safe place! :D
Remove the back seat and reach into the trunk. use a coathanger to reach the keys if you have to.
If you have the keys the way they are supposed to be, 1 key fits all, then pull a door lock and go have a locksmith make you a new key from the numbers on it.
