With a power steering conversion, you usually need a clamp or bracket that mounts inside, because as you say there's very little of the column tube sticking through the firewall. On mine the top goes through the firewall, the bottom doesn't, due to the angle.

There are several brackets on the aftermarket that can do this. Some are pretty crude, some are nice billet pieces, and in between. Or you can cut and weld a stock one and put it inside.

John....I assumed, since you linked to this bracket, that you were dealing with a stock column....Is that correct?

The steering column bracket was pretty easy to install.
The next parts for the emergency brake should be here Tuesday and hope that goes as well. Hope when I get under there I'll see some screw holes where the floor brackets were at one time so I'll know where to put them.
