I am in the process of doing just that to my 56, but I am only in the research mode right now. Again, ls1tech.com is a fantastic source of information. I believe the lt1 is a gen2 engine and the ls1 is a gen 3, go with the ls1 all the way, a little more expensive than the lt1, but worth it, IMO. I don't believe anyone makes a kit that supplies everthing needed for a complete swao, but i could be wrong. Good luck with it!

LS1 in trifive

Hi Owe.....
I am nearing the completion of an LS1 / A4 install in my 57 2 dr ht. If you need any info, let me know. There is much to be considered. Even though there is starting to be alot more conversion items available, you can expect lots of fabrication work if you plan to use the stock frame. But without a doubt, the LS is a better choice that the LT, imo.

Good luck !! DK
