Hi Otis
Por15 is a great product but if you plan on painting after you might consider Vari prime by DuPont which is an excellent etching primer. It can be laid down flat scuffed and paint over with smooth results. I my self always used PPG products but I like the results from Vari- Part number I believe is 615 (primer) and 616 (catalyst) . Definitely wear a mask with this it has one heck of a punch. Good luck ;)

I'm with Steve on this. I know POR15 doesn't bond well to smooth metal. It needs the rust to stay. I coated my floors inside with it and the area that was slick metal, I scraped spots off while working inside the car.
