I run GM Rally wheels on my '55, 6" front and 8" rear. I bought the caps from Summit that look like original '55/'56 . They fit the wheels without any modification. Painted they look great!
Labor intensive, masking off the inside and outer ring, primer, color and lacquer thinner. to clean off the Chevy emblems.
BTW the caps from Summit are non-magnetic stainless not chrome.
