It was a day filled with sadness today.... I buried my mother today 71 yrs young.
I have owned my 55 Bel-Air about three years and she did not get a chance to take a ride in it. What was the rush I had the car of my dreams and I will own it till i die. No air conditioning prevented the most recent attempt.
She got her ride today as I escorted her in style from the furneral home to the cemetary ( she was creamated ). Driven in style !

Very sorry Cher. I lost my mom in feb of 07, BUT she did get a ride on my Harley in July of 06. I have to laugh when I think of it, because mom had that vice grip hold on me the whole ride.:sign0020: Good memory though......

I am so sorry to hear about your mother, what a wonderful thing you did for her by giving her that ride.

My wife passed away and never got a ride in our '57, but she helped me work on it when I needed an extra hand.

Cheryl, our thoughts & prayers are with you over the loss of your mother.
From Heaven she was smiling during her ride to her final resting place with you at the wheel. A promise made is a promise kept & to your Mother, you kept yours to her.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss Cheryl,
Thoughts and prayers go with you.

I lost my mom 13 1/2 years ago. 4 months before I was getting married. My mom would aways ask if she and my dad could borrow one of my cars (usually my Camaro or Corvette) and go for a ride (with the t-tops out). I always let them with a smile. My mom taught me, its the small things in life that have a lot of meaning.

It still hurts, but life must go on. I talk to her everyday. Mom is always with me and yours will always be you as well.

Please know, there is a "Grand Plan" by God and you will see her again someday. Now is the time to rejoice her life and know she is not hurting.
She is always in your heart and soul and protecting you. Look around and look for the small symbols to she is there watching over you. I truely believe this.

God be with you,
Rick

Cheryl, we were so sad to learn of your Mom's passing. My own Mom has been gone many years now, but I think of her and remember the good times we had together every day. She loved to play the piano and she showed me how to rebuild my first engine. Mom and Dad owned an automotive machine shop from the 1930s through the Second World War and she did all the mic work. To the day she passed, Mom could quote you the internal clearances of every engine manufactured in America from Model Ts through those built in the 1940s.

Cherish the memories of your Mom and of the wonderful times you enjoyed together. She will never be far from you in spirit and she watches over you each and every day.

G-d bless,

Harry & Family

So sorry for your loss!! The Patriot Guard Riders escorted the funeral of a Veteran/ classic car owner several months ago. In the procession there were about 20 Classic cars from his car club and his son was driving his 57?
