I thought the article was well thought out.

A friend of mine broke a main leaf on his BBC powered 57 (from one of the popular suppliers) and it did just like the article described. In fact he wasn't even sure when it broke. It had traction bars and I'm sure that helped keep everything together.

And ironically he bought a replacement main leaf from Eaton Detroit and they hit the ride height on the money.

I have a pair of the same lowering springs for mine, and I'm pretty sure they didn't get the ride height right. I'll probably pitch them for a pair from Eaton Detroit.
