I've been gone for a week, and nice to see the progress you've made! Good work on the frame rails!
Thanks for the comments! I've done tons of Gasser research on the web and I have seen your comments on this and other sites. You are knowledgeable in the hands on "been there, done that" school. Thanks for all the help/advice you have given.

Been collecting parts ... used from friends, Craigslist finds and some new stuff (when the FedEx decides to deliver way out here).
Std bore block for the 427, Weiand intake, magneto ignition. Clutch stuff.
9" Ford rearend out from under a buddy's parts truck, mocked up for fitment & to move rear springs under rails.
Straight axle disassembled for king pin rebuild, pilots drilled for lightening holes & front springs ready to go be rebuilt & re-arched.

I am having the top leafs on both springs remade due to a worn hole in one of the spring eyes. Getting re-arched with 3" of lift. I do not like the look of tall spring hangers/shackles on a Gasser. The '56 truck axle was $75 complete with springs. Got 13 1" holes drilled in axle yesterday and sand blasted clean last night. Don't know about the rest of the country, but in Ms. it is HOT and humid especially right before dark. Had pounds of sand stuck to me after sand blast operation.

Rear end

Consider to move your rear back an inch to get away from the tight lower quarter........

Sandblasting is the worst.......just did a handful of parts on a 92deg day used my hoodie as always cinched around my face to keep grit out of ears,

Epic Fail! Found out after the fact it was the one I used for fall cleanup with weedwacker and had poison ivy all over it still. Resulting in rash on ear lower left face as well as entire belt line good grief

but the parts turned out great
