Had several short periods of showers today. Since none of my steering parts arrived, I reinstalled the circle track stock appearing oil pan in place of the replacement I had to install to clear the Unisteer. I wanted to use this pan for the screen windage tray. Since I am using the neoprene pan gasket I didn't have to scrap and replace. Only took about 25 minutes to r&r the pan using a creeper. Hope some parts arrive tomorrow.
One other thought. When replacing your tie rods use a stainless battery cable cleaner on the holes. Mine were kinda rusty after the cleaner shiney brite.
One other surprise was all the oil drops still hanging on the cam and upper rotating assembly ( crank and rods.) I had used my priming tool before I put the engine back in the car a couple weeks ago.
