Installing in my new 383 for the 'ol 55. Can I tell visually with the cap removed roughly where the timing is for the initial setting? With points I can see the position where the points break initiating the spark. How can I tell with this new one. Hopefully, there is a way?

Sometimes I've been able with hei to set the timing mark around 10* & with my spark tester on #1 plug wire key on move the dist housing quickly & the #1 wire will spark but normally just drop it in & point the rotor to #1 I know pretty much where the vacuum advance should point.
