need some info / comments on where to measure

Guy's i have a bbc in my 56, engine is set over some to the passenger side(Front mounts). My question is where/how do i measure to make sure the eng/trans is parralle to the pinion?Hope this makes sense.

You need to string the car. Put it on jack stands and level it. Then use a plum bob and drop it from points on both sides of the frame. Measure from these points to find the center line of the frame. Strike a chalk line using these measurements. Then use this center line to make all of your drive train measurements.
