I'm sure its somthing to prevent rust. probably any paint thiner or min.sprits will work inside and out.
New Gas Tank for the 57 210
Bought a new Gas tank from Ecker for my 57 210. I can fel this icky great film all over it. So what is the base way to clean it and do I also have to clean the inside (is the film on the inside too?)??

I used acetone to clean my tank. the inside of my was clean but I did wipe out the
filler neck on the tank

Thanks will give that a try! Will be nice to get some clean Gas to the engine (without smelling gas or seeing gas leaks!!! Just have to get the new Gas Pump..Going to use a Mechanical one..anyone have any recomendations??
