today, i picked up an '01 6.0 liter LS engine with 40k miles. i plan on dropping it in sometime in the near future. i also have a TCI th/350 with manual valve body and a good torque convertor and a set of headers too.
should make a fun project. i plan on having a buddy shoot it in satin black and putting all the chrome back on it. for now.
as money will allow, i also plan on having the interior redone and doing a rearend swap.
wanting to have a great cruiser i can hop in at any time and go anywhere. i also plan on running it at the track on local grudge night/tnt. how many trifives do you see racing anymore???? (not many)

hadnt posted in a while. sat the engine in using trans dapt motor plates/mounts ($52) and gmpp musclecar oilpan ($138). headers are jethot coated from speedway motors ($369).
someone had welded in some home made side engine mounts at some point and time. but they worked great.
surprised at how easy its went together, so far. headers installed in less than 15 minutes.(easy set i've ever installed).
havent finished doing all the wiring yet. plus some more cosmetic work under the hood. (wont ever be a show car, tho) just wanting a traditional style (LS powered) driver.
