Hi Guys, Getting back into tri5s after many years away.Any way I just found a motor and trans that I can pick up real cheap and am wondering what I may be getting. The owner says its a rebuilt 4 bolt main 350 bored .030 over hot cam ,etc.been sitting on an engine stand for 15 years and never run. The block numbers are 397000 with B114,H22 509 and 101020 cast into the rear of the block. The heads are alum 10088113 with tabs welded on for early corvette valve covers. The intake is alum 3072110. 2 1/2" rams horns. It comes with two bellhousings an alum 3848405 and a cast 3738305. The trans is an alum 4 speed 3925660. Are all of these compatible particularly the heads and intake(Vortec heads?). Will go in a 57 4dor htp. Thanks for helping me identify these parts!!!! See Ya , oldskool

Mortec.com can help answer some of your questions about this engine. I've heard it said Mortec is not all inclusive as they like to believe. Meaning not all Chevy engines and engine parts are listed there. But it is a good place to start.

Apparently mortec doesn't exist anymore so
I checked nastyz28 and 397000 doesn't exist either but 3970010 does. could be either 327 from late 60's or a 2 or 4 bolt 350 up to 79

NUMBERS

OLDSCHOOL,the numbers on the aluminum trans is for a late '60's Muncie and I think '68-70 vintage.Sounds like a good combination there, hope you get it!

I don't see 397000 in my list either but I do see 397010 which can be a 302 1969, 327 1969, or a 350 2 or 4 bolt main from 1969-1980 Jim
