Welcome aboard. That is a beautiful ‘57 HT. Did the timing chain break at high RPM? Bent pushrods could be from improper valve lash adjustment, or some other cause that didn’t destroy the heads or the bottom end. Any small block will fit where the 283 sits as long as it has the 4 holes in front for the front motor mounts. It’s a rare small block that doesn’t.
