Actually my 55 wagon has an interior. A Ford Taurus interior if you can believe that! It looks like it was born to be in this 55, go figure.

Anyway, I bought the cheap fake Dynamat and some foil/bubble/foil sandwich and I'm going to yank the seats and carpet out and have at it.

I'm not running a big hugger stereo so a lot of what I've read on the "sound" sites on the web is overkill. I think I can kill some of the heat and quiet down my wagon.

Anyone have any tricks, shortcuts, advice, encouragement, prayers?

Thanks.

The sound deadener will help a lot more than just your stereo sound. Be sure and use an insulation also before installing the carpet if it doesn`t already have it. The sound deadener won`t stop the heat is why it is needed.

Interior

I'm hoping the aluminum/bubble wrap/aluminum insulation will help cut the heat.

I'm also going to put the carpet pad that's under the carpet now, back under the carpet when I do the floor.
