Finally got some color on the Nomad yesterday. Painted it Matador Red & Dune Beige, the original factory colors.

I'm going to bring the frame home next week, install the engine & trans, brake & fuel lines, and rebuild the suspension. I'll take it back when I'm finished for assembly, color sand & buff.

Nice to see it in something other than primer... :)

I'm getting ready to paint my 55' Nomad and I see that you painted yours with the door hinges mounted on the car. Did you have any paint on the body behind where the hinge mounts with the two screws or just leave it in primer?

Thanks everyone, I'm really happy with the finish & colors.

On the hinges they sprayed the jamb behind the hinges, let it dry, installed and adjusted the doors then removed the doors to paint. I'll replace the screws one at a time so not to mess with the alignment. Painter says he doesn't like adjusting doors after everything is painted.
