Oil Bath Air Filter

I just cleaned up and repainted my original 2 BBL Oil Bath Air Filter on my 55 265. There is definitely a good size rubber seal internal to the air filter (about 3/16" square cross section, a bit over 2" diameter). I'm going by memory right now so dimensions may be off a bit, I'll get you a picture and actual dimensions later today.

Is the gasket / seal in the attached photo what you are asking about? It is between the bottom and top of the air filter.

Actual dimensions of cross section are 1/4" wide x 3/16" high, inside diameter is 1 3/4". This has been in place since I bought the car in 1976.

Hope this helps. Reminder, my 265 is a Rochester 2 BBL.

Thanks - it helps as I am missing the seal shown. I thought that there may have been a much larger seal similar to the four barrel seal
