i have a 56 with the original 265 and i got a bit of an oil leak. its coming from the rear of the engine, near the distributor and almost directly behind the solenoid. its a pretty steady stream, leaking only when the engine is running and lasts about a second making a hissing sound and seems to go off every two seconds or so. i cant see exactly where the leak is coming from but the leak is pretty bad and i was wondering if any of you guys might be able to help me out here.

Oil pressure sending unit ? draft tube ? sending unit is by the distributor the draft tube emptys out by the starter

Inspect the oil pressure sender ( threaded in block behind Ignition coil).

thats gotta be it, i was pretty sure it had to do something with that, i just need to get a better look. thanks for the help. :happy0030:
