Took a 30 year old Sun Super Tach II that I had on the shelf and turned it into a retro-looking tach for my '57. I was trying to come up with something that might look like "what could have been a factory accessory".

On a computer program. Tried to match the font of an old AC tach the best I could. Matched the color of the face background to the other gauges and printed on the computer on photo paper, sprayed on a matte finish, and glued onto the old face.

I tried to get the look of a '57 era AC tach, but I had to match the sweep of my existing tach, so I was limited on that part. I usually work in Adobe Illustrator but I had no access to it so I had to draw it in Quark Xpress which is not real easy. The font I chose came out to be pretty close, although I had to alter the "1" by removing the serif. I got a price of $77 to silkscreen the new face so I elected to print it myself and glue it on. Thanks for all your compliments.
