Yeah I am. I'm in process of changing that setup. Need to run a vent out of the trunk.

Long time friends...Thought i would get back on here and give a little update on the 55. There was some confusion over the last year between myself and the builder but putting all that behind me so I can share with you all some progress.

The car is coming a long way in the last year. Couple of things I've done or had done.
*Carpet is in, but its coming back out. I want to redo the floor with Xmat sound deadner instead of what I used. Plus i have new front buckets ready to go in and 4dr back seat to be re upholstered to go in.
*Battery relocated to the trunk
*New radiator support was fabricated and installed, hidden all underhood wiring
*Dressed up the motor a bit with new valve covers, for some reason i cant find a pic in my phone but will get one.
*Hood is on, not permanent but its on. Needs some more finness with body work
*New axle seals and shafts
*New trans pan an trans seals (have a leak somewhere i cannot seem to find)
*the rest of the interior is rolling. Working with a shop for headliner install ad i have all door panels, windlace, etc on order. If all goes well it should all be in by the time Tri Five Nats gets here. Then i just have to finish some under hood stuff like new inner fenders that will need to be fabricated.

I've got lots more to update all you guys on. Ill get some more pics and follow up later.

Here is a pic with the hood on for you. It changed the whole look of the car for me. It doesn't fit perfect yet and needs work but its serving its purpose.

New seats showed up today. Going with these buckets in the front and a 4dr sedan seat in the rear. Just needs to be recovered.

Got my Xmat from Eastwood so were going to hit the floor and doors with some more sound deadner. Hoping to get door panels and headliner ordered from Larry Miller at L&T quickly.

Hey Tri Fivers thought while I'm sitting here enjoying the holiday and day off to remeber our fallen i would give an update on Cohiba. I have been able to get the front buckets in and mounted. While I had the other seats out we pulled the carpet back and proceeded to Xmat the interior. I should have done that before I laid carpet but I didn't know about it. Also used some 1/4" HDPE from Menards to block the rear seat from the trunk.

We had some cuts and blood and sweat and tears but with the help of my amazing wife we got it.

Also got the back seat out of a 4dr modified to fit around the mini tubs. Seat was free to me so I couldn't pass up using it. Just waiting on material to send it out to the upholstery shop. He's going to mKe it to match the Pro Car buckets.

So with that I have all the door panels designed and ordered. Headliner coming along with everything else to finish it off.

Went on a little cruise yesterday. With some modifications to the seat brackets I was able to get them pretty low. I'm happy so far. Just need to have a new center counsel made so I can lean on it comfortably.

I'm not sure he still has the truck. We lost touch. I believe he moved on to a mid 60's Belair and or Chevelle.

Well been a little while. Made some more progress on COHIBA. Headliner and windlace is officially installed. This was a big piece ive been waiting on. Ran a new LED done light as well. Very happy with the brightness.

Should have another chunk real soon when the rest of my interior parts show up.

Well all I didn't realize it had been 5 months since I last posted. Where do I start. So we started the summer with finishing the interior project. With not having any shows during the summer it was a good time to tear into it. I am happy to say the interior is 99% complete. Couple minor touches left with underdash cleanup.

We had our headliner installed, it fell and had it redone with the garnish moldings put in this time. Looks amazing. Door panels came from the guys at L&T Reproductions. If you haven't worked with Larry you should. Great guy. Back seat donated out of a 4dr, i had recovered to match the from ProCar buckets. Turned out amazing.

Some of the pics of the headliner have wrinkles. This was prior to having it restretched. I had great helper through the whole process as the wife and I did the install of all the other pieces together. Our first go around but all in all are extremely happy with the progress, however...

The weekend after we finished the interior we decided to enjoy some cruising time that we had not done most of the summer. Turns out the motor that was in it when I acquired it back in '18 was more tired than indicated. The oil consumption was by far the worst i have ever encountered. I will do a separate post in the future with pics of the motor i pulled out. The build for the new motor has started.

We were really struggling to get the headliner in and stretched. It wasnt attached to tack strips and the glue let loose. Once all was done my guy fixed it all. These are not final pics.

Making some progress on the new heart. I have a long block picked out and started. Ended up going with a nice built 383 Stroker that I received a killer deal on. Once i can get a portfolio of pics ill post post them up. So far just have the block painted and the intake.
